🌱 Rebound: A Little Gathering with Big Heart 🌱
After announcing that Rootbound 2024 would be our final festival (for now), we’ve been taking some time to reflect, rest, and reimagine what comes next.
And while we’re not ready to launch into another full-scale festival just yet, we are feeling the pull to reconnect…
So, we’re putting together a small community gathering — something humble, heartfelt, and grounded in the same spirit that made Rootbound so special. We’re calling it Rebound.
🌀 Rebound is not a festival. There won’t be a sprawling program or elaborate production. But there will be music, connection, nature, and some familiar faces under the stars. It’s a space to catch up, breathe out, and be together again — without the bells and whistles.
📍 Happening this August on the same beautiful land that hosted Rootbound — Mungalla Station, Nywaigi Country — Rebound is a way for us to hold space for community and creativity in a lighter, more sustainable way (for both the land and our team).
We’re still working through the finer details, but if you’d like to be part of this next chapter — a little nod to what came before, and a gentle step toward what might be next — stay tuned.
More info dropping soon.
With love,
The Rootbound crew 🌿

Rebound will be hosted at the pristine Mungalla Station near Ingham, FNQ
Experience the Mungalla wetlands which have been restored from the damage of introduced weeds, and see the magnificent aquatic bird life of North Queensland. Located approximately three hours from Cairns and one and a half from Townsville, Mungalla Station is not just a gorgeous camp ground, but also an inspiring Indigenous cultural experience.
